By automobile
- Take Interstate 95 to Central Virginia, 90 miles South of Washington, DC; 100 miles north of the North Carolina border; 12 miles north of the intersection of Interstates 64 and 95.
- Get off at Exit 92B - Route 54 West (Ashland).
- Take Route 54 across Route 1 (third light).
- About 1/2 mile after Route 1, turn right onto Henry Street (across from the Post Office). Visitor lots and street parking are available.
By Amtrak train
There is an Amtrak station adjacent to our campus. Please contact Amtrak a call for schedule information.
If you need to get off at the Richmond station the college is only a short taxicab ride away.
By airplane
The closest major airport to R-MC is Richmond International, which is served by most major airlines. It's located less than thirty minutes from campus. Dulles International and Washington's National Airport are both less than two hours away. Taxicab and rental car services are available at all three locations.

Lodging:
The weekend of the MAALLT Conference and the R-MC Saturday Seminar, there is a local sporting event that has impacted the availability of lodging in Ashland. The Henry Clay Inn and Days Inn have given us a discounted room rate for our event. One can easily walk to all campus buildings from the Henry Clay Inn which is also conveniently located accross from the Amtrak train station and Ashland Visitor's Center. It is highly recommended that you make reservations as soon as possible.

There are only 8 rooms available at a special rate of $77.00 per night. Please state that you are attending a conference at Randolph-Macon College and that Anne Carroll is giving us the $77.00 rate. There are also several suites ranging from $95 to $125 per night.
